Charles III, known as The Simple, was born on September 17th, 0879.  The Simple's father was Louis II (The Stammerer) and his mother was Adelaide. He had a sister named Ermentrude.  He was the younger of the two children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Louis II, Carloman II and Adbelhide.  He died at the age of 50 on October 9th, 0929 in Peronne, Somme, France.
