Fernando Luiz de Sotomayor Ferreira and Maria Isabel de Castro Pereira were married in a religious ceremony in 1943 in Lisbon.  They have three sons and two daughters, named Fernando de Arriaga, Manoel de Arriaga, Guilherme de Arriaga, Isabel de Arriaga and Pilar de Arriaga.
