Hi Tony,
Does any of this fit in with your Larkins?
I have 3 Larkin siblings from Roscommon: John (b 1863), Bridget (b 1867) and Michael (b 1865). (Parents - Michael Larkin and Ann Regan.) John and Bridget emigrated to NYC around 1882 and settled in Brooklyn NY. They sent for Michael and his wife Bridget in 1892, who also settled in Brooklyn.
Bridget married Martin Lynch and had the following children: Bernard, Margaret, Michael, John, Annie and James. John married Mary ? and had Mary, Lizzie and John Jr. Michael had James and Mary.
I've been told there is a branch of Larkin relatives in Brewster County, NY and also in Jersey City. I've been unable to fit those families into mine.
The family says these Larkins started immigrating around the mid 19th century and continued into the 20th century. There was Patrick and Abbie Larkin Boyle in 1926, as well as Helen Larkin Mullin and her daughter Eileen in the 1980s.
Does any of this sound familiar to you?
Thanks for your time!
Tracy
