Klára was born on January 24th, 1864 in Aranyos and her christening took place there on January 26th, 1864 conducted by minister Sólyom János.1   Her godfather was Diószegi István and her godmother was Érsok Susanna.  Klára's father was János Tóbiás and her mother was Julianna Kis.  Her paternal grandparents were Tóbiás and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were András Kiss and Katalin Nagy. She had a brother and two sisters, named János, Susanna and Klára.  She was the second youngest of the four children.
