Lídia was born on October 1st, 1888 in Aranyos.1   Lídia's father was András Székely and her mother was Borbála Kohányi.  Her paternal grandparents were János Székely and Borbála Sebő. She had two brothers and a sister, named Gyula, Sándor and Klára.  She was the oldest of the four children.
