József Dorkó

József was born on February 7th, 1891 in Bekölce 36 and his christening took place on February 8th, 1891 in Bekölce conducted by priest Zsitnyánszky Adolf.¹   His godfather was Holló Gergely and his godmother was Dorkó Veronika.  József's father was Bálint Dorkó (Szurdok) and his mother was Mária Mikó.  His paternal grandparents were Bertalan Albert Dorkó (Szurdok) and Borbála Borcsa Sike; his maternal grandparents were Mikó and <Unknown>. He had four brothers and four sisters, named József, Lajos, János, József, Mária, Róza, Veronika and Mária (Maris).  He was the second youngest of the nine children.
