  about Whitsuntide (April) 1643, married Jane Wright, of London, spinster, niece of John Wright, Esq. Clerk to the Parliament, and granddau. (probably through his son Lawrence) of John Wright, Esq. of Wright's Bridge, Essex, by Bennett, his second wife, dau. of Lawrence Green, of London, merchant. This Wright family recorded its pedigree and arms, "Azure, two bars argent, in chief three leopards' faces or," at the London Visitation 1634, and was raised to the rank of baronet in 1660
