  Thomas Williams, Esq. of Oxford, descended from the Williams's of Dorsetshire, whose pedigree and arms were recorded at the Oxfordshire visitation in 1634, the latter being, "Argent, a greyhound courant sable, between three popinjays proper, all within a border engrailed, gules, crusuly patée or."
