1. Johanna D'Oyly, married to — Goodwyn, of Banbury, surgeon;[623] who receives mention in Christopher D'Oyly's will in 1788.

3. Susanna D'Oyly, second coheiress. She was married to Benjamin Aplin, of Banbury, solicitor, and of Bodicote House, co. Oxon., Esq. only son of Benjamin Aplin, of Taunton, co. Somerset, Esq. (by his wife Elizabeth Perram), and descended from a house of gentry, formerly considerable landed proprietors in Cornwall. Their arms are "Argent, on a cross sable 5 eagles displayed."—By this gentleman Miss D'Oyly had issue to survive,[624]
I. Christopher Aplin, of Adderbury, Esq. who was born 1746, and married Esther, daughter of — Clarke, by whom he had issue, 1st. The Rev. Christopher Aplin. Rector of Moulsey (who is married and has issue). 2nd. Benjamin Aplin, of Middleton Stoney, co. Oxon.; and daughters.
II. Benjamin Aplin, E.I.C.S., born 1751; died s. p.
III. Peter Aplin, Admiral of the Blue, who was born 1752, and married a daughter of Admiral Rogers, by whom he has 2 sons in the Navy and one in the Army.
IV. Oliver Aplin, of Banbury, attorney; born November 1754; who married Mary, daughter of Richard Heydon of Banbury, and had issue by her (with three daughters) five sons, viz. 1st. John Aplin of The Green, Banbury, Gent., (who married Elizabeth, daughter of William Golby of Stoney Shalp, co. Bucks, Gent., and had issue by that lady three sons and two daughters, the eldest of whom is John Aplin, Esq. of Banbury) ; 2nd. Benjamin Aplin, of Banbury and Chalcombe Priory, attorney; 3rd. Richard Aplin, of Melton Lodge, Suffolk, a Justice of the Peace for that county; 4th. Christopher-D'Oyly Aplin, Major and Aid de Camp to General Sir Dyson Marshall (whose daughter he married); 5th. Weston Aplin of Chipping Norton, co. Oxon., attorney.
