  Joane D'Oyly, who became the first wife of Simon Fitzwalter, feudal lord of Daventry, co, Northampt., son of her step-father Walter FitzRobert, already mentioned, by his first wife Maud de Lucy. She died s.p., however, and her husband surviving, married secondly, in 1201, Sarah dau. and heiress of William de Neville of Skyrwith, co. Cumb. relict of Thomas de Burgh; by whom he was progenitor of the Barons Fitz-Walter de Paventry, who bore for arms "Or, two chevronels gules," omitting the fesse of Walter Fitz-Robert.
