    Elizabeth B. Paulk 1916-2010 HAMPDEN - Elizabeth "Betty" B. (Augur) Paulk, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 22, at her home in Hampden. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Henry B. and Hazel (Smith) Augur, she resided in Hampden since 1955. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Carlton R. Paulk who passed away in 1981. She was a 1932 graduate of the High School of Commerce in Springfield and was a longtime member of the Federated Community Church of Hampden. Betty was employed as a Bookkeeper for many years at various businesses in the Springfield Area. She was active in various organizations in Hampden including being a Girl Scout Leader, organizer and advisor of Jeans and Queens teenage square dancing group, coach of girls softball for several years, a member of Sweet Adelines singing group for many years in Western Mass, was an avid square dancer as a member of the Hampden Promenadors and later the Swingles Square Dance group for many years and was an avid bowler with the Hampden Seniors. She is survived by her longtime companion, Donald Samms of West Hatfield, MA; her two children, Carol P. Darnley of Monson and Raymond C. Paulk and his wife Janet of Hopedale, MA; five grandchildren, William Darnley and his wife Brenda, Steven Darnley, Amy Lombardi and her husband Stephen, David Paulk, and Sarah O'Connor and her husband Tom; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Family and friends are invited to meet for a period of visitation on Tuesday January 26th from 4-7PM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St., Springfield, followed by a service of remembrance at 7pm in the funeral home. The date and time of burial will be announced at the calling hours. The family requests no flowers and that donations be made in Betty's memory to the Federated Community Church, 590 Main St., Hampden, MA 01036 or to the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, PO Box 319, South Deerfield, MA 01373.
