Simon  (Shaya) Katz (Yshayahu ben Yosef HaKohen)

Simon , known as Shaya, was born in 1859 in Onuskis.  Shaya's father was Joseph Katz and his mother is <Unknown>. He had two brothers and a sister, named Max, Chlone and Annie .  He died due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 88 on March 11th, 1947 in Cape Town.  He was buried at the Maitland Cemetery.^1 2
