In 1841, John Wilis (20) a brickmaker Journeyman was living with Daniel Willis (60) a Cotton Weaver at Swan Lane, East Bolton.
8 Oct 1843, John Wallis (or Willis), weaver, son of John Wallis a bricklayer married Jane Mather of Rumworth, daughter of John Mather, a weaver.
In 1851, John and Jane (31 & 32), living in Rumworth. John was a labourer for a Brick Maker.
In 1861, John and Jane (41 & 42), living in Western Bolton. John was a Brick Maker. They had no children.
In 1871, John and Jane Willis (52 & 53) were at 43 High Street, East Bolton. John was a Retired Brick Maker.
John died Nov 1878, aged 60 and Jane Willows (63, widow) remarried the following year.
