Thomas was born in 1831 in Bolton.¹ Thomas is no longer alive.

- In 1861, Thomas Vickers, a coal miner, and Mary (31 & 30) were at the Blue Bell Beer House, Hindley with John (9), Mary (6) and Ellis (3). With them were lodgers Alice Mather (53, housekeeper, his mother); and sisters Rose H (28), Ellen (23), and Alice (17). Also Ann Mather (6, visitor).
