In 1891, Paul (23) and James (24) were neighbours, assumed brothers, both married, both coal miners at Rumworth.
21 Dec 1910, Paul and his brother Richard were killed Pretoria Pit Disaster in Over Hulton. 344 Men and boys were killed in the explosion. The brothers are buried in St Mary’s, Deane
