14 Apr 1811, Peter Smith, a shoe maker, married Ellen Grundy at Farnworth. Witness James Smith. He also married Jemima Statham 24 Oct 1819 and had daughter Margaret in 1820. This may be him (similar signatures), but later in 1841 and 1851, when older, he is a labourer.

His son Peter (12) was living with his three older half-sisters Margaret (20), Jamima (18) and Mary (16) at King's Street (nr. Deansgate), West Bolton.
