Esther, known as Eliza, was born on March 4th, 1807 in Bolton.¹

- Esther's father was John Scowcroft (see marriage). She was a Rose Hill at the time of her marriage.
  
  In 1841, Esther was recorded as Eliza (35) on the census. There was also Squire Scowcroft (13) present, which was her illegitimate son. She was Esther in 1851 and later.
