General Notes
19 Jul 1826, John Mather, a Dyer, married Ann Whittle, a spinster at Deane St Mary. A month later son James was born and baptised at Bolton Bridge Street (Wesleyan), with mother named Nancy.
They may have had a child Samuel in 1828 that died aged 17 weeks. If this is theirs, then John was a Farmer at Little Hilton (mother named Ann).
In 1861, John and Nancy (60 & 56), borth born Bolton, were at Greengate, Salford with no children. John was a Maker-up of Flax Yarn.
John and Nancy were married in a religious ceremony on July 19th, 1826 at St. Mary (Deane) witnessed by Abraham Boardman & Abraham Kay.2 They had two sons named James and Samuel. There are no more children.
Samuel was born in October 1828 in Tyldesley and his baptism took place on October 19th, 1828 in Eccles.
