James Mather

James was born about 1777. He died in July 1803 in Darcy Lever. His burial was on July 15th, 1803 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹¹

General Notes
- In 1797 James Mather, a weaver who could sign his name, married Alice Bradley at Bolton St. Peter. For some reason or other the marriage must have been invalid because 16 months later they married (in the same church by the same curate) again
  
  James died before his son James was baptised. in July 1803.
