General Notes
23 Nov 1845, John Jones, a Print Finisher, son of Thomas a Butler married Catherine Mather, a miner, daughter of Solomon Mather, both of Tebbutt Street at Manchester Church. Eleanor Jones (sister?) was a witness.
After they married John and Catherine lived in Turton. All their childrens births are registered there, except for 1856-1859 when they were in Shaprles.
In 1851, John and Catherine Jones were at 4 Bank View, Turton with John's mother Betty (50, widow) and Ellen, Thomas and Elizabeth (5, 3 & 11mo).
In 1871, John B Jones and Catherine (46 & 45) were with Eleanor (25), Thomas (23), Elizabeth (21), Alice (18), William H (15), Edward (13), Frederick (10), Mary (6) and Ernest (3) at Eagley, Tyrton.
