Martha, known as Matty, was born on December 19th, 1806 in Tottington and her baptism took place there on January 8th, 1807.1 2  She died at the age of 36 in December 1842 in Little Bolton.  She was buried on December 22nd, 1842 in Bradshaw.3 4

‌Matty and John were married in a religious ceremony on November 21st, 1827 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).5
