Ann was born in September 1855 in Bolton and her baptism took place on September 2nd, 1855 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

- Ann cannot be John's daughter as he died in 1853. Ann is possibly the daighter of John's brother William Gregory who married Ellen Barker in 1853 at Dean. However, Ann is baptised daughter of Margaret spinster, so is the illegitimate daughter of Margaret after John died, perhaps by one of his brothers who she lived with in 1851..
