John Goodfellow

John was born in 1777. He died at the age of 76 on November 29th, 1853 in Stalybridge. His burial was on December 2nd, 1853 in Stalybridge.¹

- There is a gap between the births of the children. This is because John was widowed, as ahown on his marriage of 1820.
  
  On the 24 Aug 1828, John and Alice had all their 8 children baptised. John was a Mechanic, and later, also was his son Benjamin.
  
  In 1841, John and Alice (60 & 46), his second wife, were at Audenshaw with 7 children
  
  In 1851, John (75, Mechanic) is at Coxford Road, Dukinfield with his young wife Alice (53), ahd Lois (25), Jesse (20 and Uriah (15).

Occupation Details
- From 1820 John's occupation was Millwright in Manchester.
  From before 1811 to after 1832 his occupation was Mechanic in Newton (Lancs).
  - Occupation Notes
    - John and Alice had 8 of their their children baptised 24 Aug 1828. Jesse was baptised later (1832) and also showed John a mechanic.
  From 1841 his occupation was Joiner in Audenshaw.
  - Occupation Notes
    - John (aged 60) bacame a Joiner later in life.
