John's parents were Christopher (recorded on marriage certificate) and probably Mary Finch from Chorley. ALso on his marriage certificate he recorded himself as a slater. Slater also appears on the Liverpool probate record.
The probate record suggests he is from Liverpool, so he may have been married to Elizabeth, and had a daughter Margaret (and Sarah, Laura, John and Thomas in 1891), but there is no record of this wifs death (1891-1893), and This John was a plasterer in 1891.
