In 1843, William Eliott a husbandman was the son of William Elliot a weaver when he married Ellen Mather. Both were under 21 and from Westhoughton.
In 1835, Henry's birth was registered at Westhoughton, followed by Elizabeth's in Pilkington, Bury. The family then appear to have settles in Little Bolton.
In 1845, the family may have been living in Manchster at the time Elizabeth was born (birth registered at Pilkingvton). After that they moved to Little Bolton.
In 1851, William and Ellen (both 28) were at 34 Nelson Street, Little Bolton with Henry (7), Elizabeth (6), Catherine (5), William (3) and Alice (1).
In 1861, William and Ellen (40 & 39) were at 14 Brick Field, Halliwell with Elizabeth (16), Catherine (15), William (13), Alice (11), Mary Ann (9), and Frederick (5).
