Sarah was born about 1600. She died on May 26th, 1676 in
Bosden.

Sarah was the Rev. Richard Mather's second wife.
Sarah was the widow of the distinguished Rev. John Cotton who was one of the earliest of the New England Fathers, and pastor of the first church in Boston.
Sarah and
Richard were married in a religious ceremony on August 26th, 1656.

Dictionary of National Biography: "He (i.e. Richard) married secondly, on 26th Aug. 1656, Sarah, whos first husband was named Story, and who's second husband was John Cotton (d. 23 Dec 1652). She died before Mather."
