Joseph married Alice Hargreved (nee Mather) in 1852 when he was a Millwright.
Alice's father Solomon Mather was a publican in 1851, and it is just possible that so was Joseph Beddows. Probate for Joseph Beddows who died in 1858 (not 1856 as this one did) shows he died at the Black Greyhound", Horwich. This Joseph was buried at Horwich Holy Trinity in Jun 1856!.
