  John was illegitimate daughter of Rebecca Allne.
  
  In 1841, John was a Cotton Spinner at Shaw Street, Bolton with Rebecca (30) and four younger siblings.
  
  5 July 1846, John "Alen", illegitimate of Edgworth married Alice Mather, daughter of Edward Mather, a dyer.
  
  1848-52, The family were at Edgworth (when Edward and William born).  Later births were registered at Turton.
  
  In 1851, Edward and Alice (26 & 25) were at Russia Bottoms, Edgworth with Edward (3) and Mary Ann (3 mo)
