WILLIAMSBURG--Funeral services for Scott Allen Hilligas, 31, were Wednesday, Nov. 8 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Anthony Conrad and the Rev. David O'Brien officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Hilligas died Nov. 6, 1995 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City of cancer.
Scott Allen Hilligas was born July 28, 1964 in North Kingston, R.I. He was the son of Calvin and Darlene Jacobi Hilligas. He moved with his family to Chelsea in 1968 where he was raised. He graduated from South Tama High School. He married Fonda Zuber Nov. 9, 1990 in Williamsburg. He had been employed by Williamsburg Manufacturing for five and a half years as a press operator. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Fonda; two sons, Austin Hilligas of Williamsburg, and Shaun Hilligas, Belle Plaine; his father, Calvin Hilligas, Traer; a sister, Raylene Behounek, Belle Plaine; two brothers, John Hilligas, Ft. Riley, Kan., and Calvin Hilligas, Sioux Falls, S.D.; three nieces and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1990; an infant son, Steven; and an infant sister, Joy Lynn.
Uhlmann-Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg, was in charge of arrangements.
