Fanny, known as Pat, was born on October 23rd, 1915 in
Beatrice, Gage County, Nebraska. She died at the age of 88 on August 20th, 2004 in
Good Samaritan Center, Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, South Dakota. The funeral took place on August 30th, 2004 at
St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fulda, Murray Coutny, Minnesota and was arranged by Totzke Funeral Home. She was buried at the
Prairie Hill Cemetery, Fulda, Minnesota.

- Fanny "Pat" Margaret (Trauernicht) Knorr, 88, Sioux Falls, S.D., died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. She was born Oct. 23, 1915, in Beatrice, Neb., the daughter of Tom and Anna (Frerichs) Trauernicht. She grew up in Nebraska and attended school in Holmesville, where she graduated in 1933. In 1934, she was united in marriage to Chester Overlees, and they had three children. In 1945, they divorced. She then worked in the Beatrice area. In 1948, she was united in marriage to Allen Smith, and in 1949, they moved to Fulda, Minn., and operated a service station and grocery store. He died in 1958. While still living in Fulda, she worked at various jobs and met Leonard Knorr. They were married May 17, 1963, in Fulda, where they continued to make their home. He died in 1972. She continued to live at home after her retirement until moving to the Mapleview Estates in Fulda in August of 1997. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fulda where she belonged to the Ladies Aid and the Altar Guild. She also belonged to the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Fulda Senior Citizens and the Pink Ladies. She enjoyed sewing, reading, playing cards, bible study and visiting at the nursing home.
Survivors: daughter-in-law, Mary Overlees; son-in-law, William Maxwell; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Lammert Trauernicht of Beatrice, and Walter Trauernicht and wife Ila of Plymouth, Neb.; sisters, Lena Johnson of Beatrice, and Grace Brinkhuis of Sioux Falls, S.D.; sister-in-law, Annette Trauernicht of Beatrice. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Anna (Frerichs) Trauernicht; two husbands; sons, Lyle and Richard Overlees; daughter, Sandra Maxwell, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fulda, the Rev. Dwayne Schroeder officiating. Inurnment at Prairie Hill Cemetery, Fulda, Minn. Memorials preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran School in Fulda. Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda in charge of arrangements.
