Augusta was born on November 17th, 1874.1   Augusta's father was August Wilkening and her mother was Sophia Grote.  Her paternal grandparents were Hans Henry Wilkening and Engel S.M. Hasemann; her maternal grandparents were Grote and Elizabeth Dralle. She had two brothers and four sisters, named August, Henry, Emilia, Sophia, E.S. and Louise.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 94 on November 29th, 1968.1

Augusta and Henry were married.  They had a son named William.
