- Ruth Eloise Nelson, 86, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, April 17, 2006, in Rogers. She was born Dec. 4, 1919, in Glenvil, Neb., to Thomas Peter Trauernicht and Zelma Glen Shore Trauernicht.
She and her husband, Richard Nelson, moved to Rogers in 1974 from Arlington Heights, Ill. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Rogers, where she was active in the Women’s Ministries and the Missionettes, and taught Sunday school. She enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Nelson; a daughter and son-in-law, Luralei Cravens and Tommy Cravens of McAlester, Okla.; a son and daughter-inlaw, Richard "Rich" Nelson and Bonnie Nelson of Centerton, Ark.; a brother, Wilbert "Bill" Trauernicht of Arlington Heights, Ill.; two nieces, Carol Hebert and Joyce Ganza, both of Arlington Heights; four grandchildren, Jeff Herrick, Julie Weatherford, Chris Nelson and Shane Nelson; and three great-grandchildren, Jackson Herrick, Jenilee Herrick and Jonathan Herrick.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at the Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 20, at the First Assembly of God Church in Rogers with the Rev. Clyde Brummett and the Rev. Joshua Scroggins.
Burial will be at the Rogers Cemetery.
