- Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Petty were held August 20 at the Triune United Methodist Church with Rev. John W. Hembree and Rev. Fenton Warren officiating. Mrs. Petty died August 18 at her residence on Haley Lane. She was a native of Davidson County and a member of the Eastern Star and the Triune United Methidist Church. She was also a member of the Joy Seekers Sunday Scholl class at the church. She was formerly employed at the C. B. Ragland Wholesale Grocery Co. as a keypunch operator. She was the daughter of Mrs. Zelma Burke of Nashville and Jack Burke of Brentwood, who survive. Other survivors include her husband, Sidney J. Perry; daughter, Mrs. Nancy Jackson; sons, James R. Petty of Triune, John M. Petty of Franklin, and Richard T. Petty of Norfolk, Va.; sister, Mrs. Barbara Baltz of Brentwood; brother, Ceburn Burke of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; ten grandchildren. Pallbearers were Charles Ross, Jack Hildebrand, John Burke, Andrew Winters, Bernard Jones, Ed Ladd and Ralph Pate. Burial was in Triune Cemtery. All arrangements were made by Waller and Company.
