  Dorothee, known as Sophia, was born on March 20th, 1836 in Isenstedt, Prussia and her baptism took place on March 27th, 1836 in Gehlenbeck Lutheran Church, Gehlenbeck, Germany.¹ She died at the age of 65 on February 17th, 1902. She was buried on February 21st, 1902 at the Saint Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Hamel, Madison County, Illinois.¹¹
