Paul was born on 26-Jul-1908. Paul's father was Fritz Smollich and his mother was Henriette Kowalewski. His paternal grandfather was Johann Smollich. He was the youngest of four children. He had a brother and two sisters, named Heinrich, Anna and Elfriede. He died, at the age of 77, on 27-Aug-1985.
