Brunhilde was born on 5-Dec-1936.  Brunhilde's father was Kurt Willi Heinrich Smollich and her mother was Friedel Völkel.  Her paternal grandparents were Michael Smollich and Emilie Bascheck.  She is the oldest of two children.  She has a sister named Gudrun.
