John MacArthur 
General Notes
The family hailed from the village of Strachur, in the Cowal Peninsula of Argyll, and lies on the eastern shore of Loch Fyne, in the Firth of Clyde. Loch Eck lies to the east of Strachur.
John died at the battle of Culloden. His 6 sons fought with him at the battle.
