Walter was born on January 27th, 1817 in Weedon, Northampton.  He died at the age of 52 on September 7th, 1869 in Foxhill.  He was buried in Marawera.

‌Walter and Ann were married in a religious ceremony on July 17th, 1839 in Weedon.  They had four sons named Frederick, Hubert, Thomas and John.
