Philip_II was born on May 21st, 1527 in Valladolid.  Philip_II's father was Charles_V and his mother was Isabella of_Portugal.  His paternal grandparents were Philip_I the_Handsome and Joanna the_Mad (Juana).  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 71 on September 13th, 1598 in El Escorial,Palace,Madrid,Spain.
