Louis_IX (St._Louis) was born on April 25th, 1214.  Louis_IX (St._Louis)'s father was Louis_VIII the_Lion and his mother was Blanche of_Castile.  His paternal grandparents were Philip_II Augustus and Isabella of_Hainault; his maternal grandfather was Alfonso_IX.  He was the oldest of four children.  He had three brothers named Robert, Alphonse and Charles of_Anjou.  He died at the age of 56 on August 25th, 1270 in Tunis,,,Africa.  His burial was in St. Denis,France.
