Frederick_III was born on March 18th, 1609 in Haderslev,Denmark.  Frederick_III's father was Christian_IV and his mother was Anne Catherine.  His paternal grandparents were Frederick_II of_Denmark and_Norway and Sophia of_Mecklenburg- Gustrow; his maternal grandparents were Joachim Frederick of_Brandenburg and Catherine of_Brandenburg -Kustrin.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 60 on February 9th, 1670 in Copenhagen,Denmark.
