Maria Suzana's father is Manuel Hugo Luis da Silva and her mother is Maria José Lopes.  Her maternal grandparents were  José Lopes and  Joaquina Freitas Morna.  She is the youngest of three children.  She has two brothers named João Humberto and Fernando Cirilio.
