    Johann Jost Helsper, fount in three-brook. Johann Jost Helsper is themaster father of numerous Helspers in the Westerwald, in the Ruhr district, in the Netherlands and in the USA. Of Johann Jost and its 1. Mrs. Eva Maria Heidrich leads a line to Holland (over the Jakobs Helsperand its son Kristoph). Of Johann Jost and its 3. Two lines lead Mrs. Anna Gertrud Frensch into the USA: one over the emigrant Gottfried Helsper from shitting mountain/new high stone and one over Christian Helsper from Oellingen. The descendant list is not complete. 1. the Netherlands line (Kristoph Helsper) are trained 2. the American line (Gottfried Helsper) not yet trained are the American line Christian Helsper. The church book of the catholic municipality Hoehn Schoenberg begins with the year 1723, for which the families of all Kirchspieldoerfer arespecified. In three-brook are located for 1723: Johann Jost Helsper EH Heidrich (its 1. Mrs.) Joannes (supposed before 1723 born son) Joh. Jost geb. 4. April 1723. Married (1) on 26.07.1727 in Hoehn Schoenbergtons Anna Maria read, died on 30.10.1729 in three-brook. KB Hoehn Schoenberg (K2), filmrolle 239: 1729, 30 Octobr. obiit Anna Maria read, 2nda uxor Joan Jost Helspers, neoscabini in Dreysbach. _____________________________________________
    
    The Helsper family has its roots in the High Westerwald, Germany, where it has been documented since the 15th century. In the course of time Helspers have been migrating from  their Westerwald homeland  to other parts of Germany (e.g. northwards to the Siegerland, the Ruhr area,East Germany) as well as to other countries transplanting their name to  the Netherlands, to the U.S.A.  and maybe elsewhere. All genealogical Helsper roads have turned out to lead to the High Westerwald (parish of Höhn-Schönberg and neighboring parishes) so far, substantiating the theory that all Helspers are indeed descended from the same Westerwald ancestor(s).
