Rebecca was born in 1845 in Dawley Magna, Madeley, Shropshire, England.

Rebecca and Stephen were married in a religious ceremony in December 1864 in Wellington, Shropshire, England.1   They had a son and three daughters, named Frederick, Ellen, Eliza and Jane.
