Jeanette M. Gillick, 86, Sturgeon Bay, passed away April 27, 2011. She was born on March 18, 1925, in Green Bay, to Bernard and Elizabeth (Sylvester) Pigeon. On Feb. 22, 1944, she married Verner Gillick at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Green Bay; he preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1994.
Survivors include three daughters, MaryAnn (John) Logerquist, Sturgeon Bay; Darlene (Darreld) Krauel, Sturgeon Bay; Kathy Beno and Bill Christensen, Sturgeon Bay; seven grandchildren, Mark (Laura) Logerquist, Joe (Stacey) Krauel, Jenny Krauel, Amy Logerquist, James Krauel, Stephanie Beno, Holly Christensen; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Pfister, Sturgeon Bay; Sandra (Robert) Joski, Green Bay; special caregivers, Sue Tenor and Chris Surfus.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay. Visitation will be Saturday at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Online condolences may be offered at www.forbesfuneralhome.com.

Jeanette Mary Gillick, 86, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at her home on April 27, 2011. She was born on March 18, 1925 in Green Bay to Bernard and Elizabeth (Sylvester) Pigeon. On February 22, 1944 she married Verner Gillick at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Green Bay; he preceded her in death on September 9, 1994. Jeanette farmed with her husband in the town of Nasewaupee for many years. She was a hard worker and had worked for Service Master until she was 83 years old. She was also a playground attendant and lunch lady at Corpus Christi School. Jeanette was a great cook and baker and will be remembered as a kind and caring person. Survivors include three daughters, MaryAnn (John) Logerquist, Sturgeon Bay; Darlene (Darreld) Krauel, Sturgeon Bay; Kathy Beno and Bill Christensen, Sturgeon Bay; seven grandchildren, Mark (Laura) Logerquist, Joe (Stacey) Krauel, Jenny Krauel, Amy Logerquist, James Krauel, Stephanie Beno, Holly Christensen; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Pfister, Sturgeon Bay, Sandra (Robert) Joski, Green Bay; sister-in-law, Elaine Polich, Sturgeon Bay; many nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Sue Tenor and Chris Surfus. She was preceded in death by four infant grandchildren; three brothers, LeRoy, Byron, and Ronald Pigeon; son-in-law, Craig Beno; brother-in-law, Melvin Pfister. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 30, 2011 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Carl Schmitt and Rev. Anthony Birdsall officiating. Burial will be in Clay Banks Town Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
