Lillian was born on August 15th, 1909 in Shanghai, China.  Lillian's father was William Katz and her mother was Luba Isabella Abraham Zimmerman (Katz).  Her maternal grandparents were Abraham Zimmerman and Hosh-Feiga Mogilevskaja (Zimmerman). She had five brothers and two sisters, named Aron, Eric, Morris, Alfred , Frances Valerie, Sarah and Chana Anne.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 70 in March 1980 in New York, USA.
