Padre da Companhia de Jesus, «bom pregador e de grande conselho, tido por santo» (Furtuoso op. cit., Livro IV, t. 2, pág. 157)
Estudou em Salamanca com o Dr. Gaspar Frutuoso que dele diz o seguinte: «Foi religioso de grande doctrina e muito aprovada virtude e bom pregador na Companhia de Jesus; muitos que o conheceram e sabem de sua vida e exemplo o teem por santo» (Furtuoso op. cit., Livro IV, t. 2, pág. 249)
