József was born on February 5th, 1798 in Vedrődújfalu (Cífer).1   His godfather was Losskovics István and his godmother was Mária.  József's father was Peskó György and his mother was Mária.  His paternal grandparents were Peskó István and Benkovszky Mária. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Péter, Pál, János, Mária, Mária, Krisztina and Ilona. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Miklós, János, Katalin and Anna.  He died at the age of 42 on February 21st, 1840 in Vedrődújfalu (Cífer).2
