Mária was born on January 25th, 1729 in Vedrődújfalu (Cífer).1   Her godfather was Kovacsocki Tamás úr and her godmother was Anna.  Mária's father was Benkovszky Ádám and her mother was Bozik Ilona.  Her paternal grandparents are Benkovszky Jakab and Mária; her maternal grandparents were Bozik Mihály and Dorottya. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Mihály, Pál, Péter, János, Anna, Katalin, Erzsébet, Ilona and Dorottya.  She was the second oldest of the ten known children.  She died at the age of 56 on February 1st, 1785 in Vedrődújfalu (Cífer).1
