Augustinus Adamszn was born in 1686 in 's Gravenmoer and his baptism took place there on December 22nd, 1686.1  Augustinus Adamszn's father was Adam Anthoniszn Canters and his mother was Maria Gijsbertsdr Cuyper.  His paternal grandparents were Anthonis Adriaenszn Canters and Stijntken Augustijnszn Verhagen; his maternal grandparents were Gijsbert Cuyper and N.N. N.N.. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Laurens Adamszn, Gijsbrecht Adamszn, Antonij Adamszn, Pieter Adamszn, Adriaen Adamszn, Arnoldus Adamszn, Johannes Adamszn, Cornelis Adamszn, Jacomijna Adamsdr, Maria Adamsdr and Anna Adamsdr.  He was the nineth oldest of the twelve children.
